Route
Check whether the published student route fits
ICA has category-specific guidance for eligible students. Confirm the institution, student status and other conditions in the current instructions before assuming that attendance or graduation alone creates a route.
Being eligible to apply is not the same as being likely to receive approval. Avoid claims that a particular school, course or grade guarantees a result unless ICA officially states it.
Education record
Present an accurate education timeline
Use official enrolment, qualification and identity records that ICA requests. Keep institution names, course dates, completion status and any pass information consistent with the application.
If the applicant has started work, changed course or changed status, explain the current facts and check whether another published category is more appropriate.
Plan
Keep current status valid while the application is considered
A PR application does not remove the need to comply with current student, work-pass or travel requirements. Check ICA and MOM instructions when a status or course change is expected, and retain official records.
