Source of truth
Start with the category-specific ICA checklist
Documents differ according to the principal applicant and any family members included. Read ICA's current PR document checklist and application instructions, then make a private copy of the requirements relevant to your route.
Generic lists can omit a newly requested item or include an item that does not apply. A document is useful because it answers an official request or clarifies a relevant fact—not because more pages always help.
Organise
Create an evidence index before uploading
For each file, record its plain-language name, the person it concerns, issuing body, issue date, language and the requirement it supports. Keep the original securely and use clear filenames for the upload.
- Identity and civil-status records, where ICA requests them.
- Employment, pass and income records relevant to the route.
- Education or family evidence relevant to the applicant or dependant.
- Translations or explanations only where the official instructions call for them.
Quality check
Check consistency, privacy and readability
Compare names, dates, employers, addresses and relationships across the application and every attachment. If an apparent mismatch has a legitimate explanation, prepare a concise factual note and retain supporting evidence.
Upload through ICA's official service, not an unverified file-sharing link. Keep sensitive identity and financial records private; SG Residency does not need them merely to explain the general process.
