Permanent Residence is a separate application
Confirm the current ICA category, follow the applicable application instructions, prepare accurate records and submit through ICA's official channel. Keep a copy of the information submitted and monitor official communications.
Citizenship has its own eligibility and process
Citizenship is not the automatic next stage of PR. Read ICA's current citizenship application page and treat its eligibility, documents and formalities as a separate process.
Keep procedure separate from outcome
Meeting a published eligibility condition may allow an application to be submitted; it does not guarantee approval. Only the relevant authority can assess and decide an application.
